How to Check Shortlisted Candidates for CDCFIB

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has released the list of candidates shortlisted for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) in the ongoing recruitment exercise for four federal paramilitary agencies:

The announcement was made in Abuja by the board’s secretary, Retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jubril, confirming that candidates who applied for any of the listed agencies can now verify their status.

The board stated that from Thursday, October 30, 2025, all applicants should check the official CDCFIB recruitment portal to confirm if they have been shortlisted and to access details of their CBT centre, date, and time.

How to Check Shortlisted Candidates for CDCFIB

To check if you have been shortlisted, follow these steps carefully:

  1. Visit the official portal: https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng
  2. Enter your National Identification Number (NIN) and phone number used during registration.
  3. Type in the security verification code displayed on the screen.
  4. Click on the “Retrieve Examination Slip” button.

Your examination slip will display your application status, as well as the venue, date, and time for your Computer-Based Test (CBT).

Important Information for Shortlisted Candidates

  • Print and keep your examination slip — it will be required at your CBT venue.
  • Arrive early at the examination centre with your slip, a valid means of identification, and writing materials.

About the CDCFIB Recruitment Exercise

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) oversees the recruitment of officers into four key paramilitary agencies. The 2025 recruitment exercise attracted over 1.9 million applications nationwide.

According to data from the board:

  • Kogi (116,162), Kaduna (114,536), and Benue (110,565) had the highest number of applicants.
  • Bayelsa (11,669) and Lagos (14,216) recorded the lowest numbers.
