Job Details:

Budgeting & Planning 

• Lead the development and consolidation of annual budgets in collaboration with asset managers, department heads, and project teams.
• Translate operational and project plans into financial budgets, ensuring consistency with corporate objectives.
• Develop and maintain budget models, templates, and guidelines to support accurate planning.

Cost Control & Monitoring

• Implement and oversee detailed cost control systems, tracking actual spend against approved budgets and AFEs (Authorizations for Expenditure).
• Investigate variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure that all cost data is accurate, timely, and aligned with company accounting policies and JV requirements.

Forecasting & Reporting

• Manage monthly and quarterly expenditure re-forecasting, providing early warning of potential overruns or underspending.
• Prepare and deliver timely cost performance reports and dashboards for senior management.
• Support decision-making by providing actionable insights on expenditure trends, cost efficiency, and resource utilization.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with project managers and asset teams to monitor project expenditures and improve financial accountability.
• Liaise with JV finance, auditors, and regulatory bodies to support transparent reporting and compliance.
• Provide training and guidance to non-finance staff on cost control principles and practices.

Process & Systems Improvement

• Continuously improve budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Leverage ERP systems and analytical tools to enhance data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
• Promote standardization and best practices across cost management processes.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or PMP are highly desirable.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in budgeting, cost control, or financial management within the oil and gas industry.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge, experience and proficiency demonstrated in all the activities described above. 
• Proficient in financial modeling, cost management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and MS Excel.
• Strong knowledge of upstream oil & gas project economics, AFEs, and cost control frameworks.
• Ability to present complex financial data in clear, actionable insights for decision-making.

Job Details:

Management Reporting & Dashboards

• Prepare routine and ad-hoc management reports, including performance packs, dashboards, and key operational/financial metrics (e.g., production volumes, cost per BOE, lifting cost reports, OPEX vs. budget).
• Ensure all reports are delivered on time and presented in a clear, concise, and actionable format.
• Support preparation of board-level and executive management presentations.

Data Gathering & Validation

• Collect, reconcile, and validate data from multiple sources, including operations, accounting, and engineering.
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial and operational datasets used for reporting and decision-making.
• Develop and maintain robust data controls and audit trails.

Financial & Operational Analysis

• Conduct variance analyses (actuals vs. budget/forecast) across CAPEX, OPEX, and production metrics.
• Analyze trends, drivers, and underlying factors impacting financial and operational performance.
• Provide actionable insights and early warning signals to management regarding performance gaps or opportunities.

Benchmarking & Industry Analysis

• Perform benchmarking studies to compare company performance against peers and industry best practices.
• Track commodity price trends, cost benchmarks, and operational efficiency metrics relevant to upstream oil & gas.
• Support competitive intelligence initiatives to guide strategic positioning.

Modeling & Decision Support

• Build and maintain financial and operational models to support decision-making on projects, budgets, and investments.
• Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario planning to evaluate financial impact under different assumptions.
• Partner with business units to provide financial insight into operational and strategic decisions.

Job Requirement:

Job Details:

• Support special projects related to the development and maturation of ERM programs
• Help facilitate various business needs such as data analysis and risk report creation

Job Requirements:

• BSc. in Finance or equivalent in science or social science field
• At least 4 – 6 years E&P experience and exposure.
• Knowledge of the fundamentals of Upstream Operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and team skills.
• Experience with working in a multi-discipline and/or multi-cultural team is advantageous.
• Risk management experience in relevant sector.

• Previous exposure to engagement Government & Regulatory Stakeholders will be an advantage.
