Depot Operations Representative – Calabar:

Job Details:

The Depot Representative Officer is responsible for coordinating the dispatch of trucks from third-party depots through the ERP system, ensuring timely loading, accurate stock management, and compliance with operational procedures. The role also supports stock reconciliation, vessel discharge activities, and reporting, with the objective of minimizing cargo losses and ensuring efficient depot operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Coordinate the dispatch of trucks loaded from third-party depots via the ERP system.
  • Ensure timely loading and dispatch of trucks to prevent throughput delays and demurrage.
  • Verify that all truck loading and dispatches are executed in line with approved daily pricing/rates on the ERP.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records on the ERP system.
  • Prepare and circulate daily truck-out reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct daily stock reconciliation with third-party depots and ensure alignment with ERP records.
  • Review and sign off on monthly stock reconciliation reports in collaboration with Internal Audit (IACD).
  • Participate in vessel discharge operations at the terminal to ensure accurate product receipt and documentation.
  • Monitor and provide daily and weekly updates on vessel receipts into third-party depots.
  • Ensure prompt issuance of waybills and accurate documentation for all dispatched trucks
  • Maintain strict adherence to operational controls, safety standards, and compliance requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • HND/BSC in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 1–3 years’ experience in depot operations, logistics, or terminal operations

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
  • Good knowledge of depot/terminal operations and dispatch processes
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
  • Strong integrity and compliance mindset

Working Conditions

  • Based at depot/terminal environment
  • May require extended hours during vessel discharge or peak operations
