EY Application Stages
EY’s 2026 Graduate Trainee Programme features a structured multi-stage application process designed to assess numerical, verbal, logical, and behavioral competencies. Below are the recruitment stages following the registration requirements:
Jobberman Aptitude Test
This initial screening occurs online via Jobberman and consists of four sections: Math, English, Logical Reasoning, and Psychological Test. Candidates face 25 questions per section within 25 minutes each, totaling 100 questions over 100 minutes. The test evaluates speed, accuracy, and problem-solving under time pressure, with math covering percentages, ratios, and data interpretation; English focusing on comprehension and grammar; logical reasoning testing patterns and sequences; and the psychological test gauging personality fit for consulting roles.
Virtual Interview
Successful candidates advance to a 10-minute virtual interview requiring a prepared PowerPoint slide presentation. Interviewers probe CV details, such as academic projects, internships, and extracurriculars, often asking behavioral questions like “Tell us about a time you demonstrated teamwork.” Preparation involves practicing concise slide design (3-5 slides max) and linking experiences to EY’s service lines like assurance, tax, or consulting.
Assessment Center & Panel Interview
The final stage combines an assessment center with a panel interview involving HR and service unit representatives. Activities include a random knowledge section testing EY facts, a business case exercise where candidates split into groups to analyze scenarios (e.g., market entry strategies) and present solutions—emphasizing leadership and collaboration—and a crossword puzzle on EY’s business units and industry knowledge. Panels assess communication, strategic thinking, and cultural fit through role-specific questions.
