The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has commenced registration for the 2025 GCE second series for private candidates. The registration period runs from Monday, June 9, 2025, to Sunday, August 24, 2025. Please note that the generation of PINs will end on Friday, August 22, 2025.
The examination will be urban-based, and the specific dates for the examination will be announced in due course. A total of thirty-six subjects will be available for candidates to choose from.

- WASSCE for Private Candidates 2025, Second SERIES has commenced. Normal Registration ends on Friday, 22 August 2025
- Prospective candidates are urged to take advantage of this opportunity as this will be the final call for registration.
- Further, candidates who may wish to register for the examination after the close of the entry period will be considered as Walk-in Candidates, provided the walk-in takes place less than 24 hours before the paper.Thank you.
- Walk-in registration is Forty-Five Thousand Naira (N45,000.00) only per candidate. Registration must be done not less than twenty-four hours to the scheduled time of the paper(s) intended to sit for.

Candidates are expected to pay a registration fee of Twenty Seven Thousand Naira only (N27,000) at branches of any of the following banks or any accredited agent and obtain the registration PIN and the information VCD:

Candidates who wish to register for the examination after the close of entries may be accommodated as “Walk-in-Candidates”, provided they register not less than twenty four hours to the scheduled time of the paper (s) they intend to write. The “Walk-in-Candidates” fee is Thirty Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N30, 500.00), only.
