Job Details:

The Embassy of Denmark in Abuja seeks a positive, dynamic, and multi-skilled individual to serve as a Visa and Consular Officer. This role is crucial for providing strong customer service, managing visa and consular operations, and maintaining high standards of integrity and efficiency.

The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, reviewing, and processing visa applications, conducting interviews, and liaising with various stakeholders including applicants, VFS Global, and Danish Immigration Service. The role also involves responding to inquiries about visas and permits, assisting in daily consular operations, handling Danish passport applications, and providing consular assistance to Danish and other qualifying nationals. This position requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in an intercultural and dynamic environment.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Receive and review visa applications and attached documents.
  • Process and register applications electronically.
  • Conduct interviews (primarily in English).
  • Liaise with applicants, the Denmark Visa Application Centre (VFS Global), Danish Immigration Service, and other stakeholders.
  • Respond to inquiries about visas and residence/work permits.
  • Assist in the daily operations of the consular section.
  • Handle Danish passport applications, biometrics, and passport registry updates.
  • Provide consular assistance to Danish and other qualifying nationals.
  • Perform other tasks as required.
