The Higher Education Authority (HEA) is pleased to issue the 2025 Call under the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships Programme.
Under the initiative several scholarships worth €10,000 will be provided for one year study at Diploma, Masters or PhD levels to successful candidates who have an offer of a place at an eligible Irish higher education institution.

Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship Details:
The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship is managed by the Higher Education Authority (HEA), on behalf of the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science.
Following a competitive process based on an annual call for proposals from individual applicants, the HEA will approve a defined number of scholarships under the scheme to successful applicants.
Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships will be awarded to high calibre students from non-EU/EEA countries to study full-time in Ireland for a period of one year.
Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship Requirement:
To be eligible for the 2025 Fully Funded Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- Have a domiciliary of origin outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
- Apply for admission to a relevant master’s, postgraduate diploma or PhD programme offered by an eligible higher education institution as per that institution’s admission procedures.
- Have a conditional or final offer of admission to that higher education institution at the time of application and will be required to submit a copy of same.
- Prospective candidates who have previously held a GOI-IES scholarship are not eligible to apply.
Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship Rewards:
Students who are successful will receive:
- A €10,000 stipend for one year’s study
- A full fee waiver of all tuition and other registration costs at the higher education institution

How to Apply for Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship:
To apply for the 2025 Fully Funded Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship, interested and qualified candidates should;
