Job Details:

The Accounts Assistant will support the finance and accounting team in managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with internal and statutory requirements. The role requires attention to detail, strong numerical ability, and the ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, invoices, and ledgers.
  • Record daily financial transactions and reconcile bank statements.
  • Support in accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Maintain proper filing of financial documents for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
  • Assist in payroll preparation and statutory deductions (e.g., taxes, pensions).
  • Handle petty cash and ensure proper documentation of disbursements.
  • Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments regarding payment and billing issues.
  • Support the external audit process by providing required documentation.
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by the Accountant or Finance Manager.

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting/finance or related role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Good organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Salary Range: ₦150,000 – ₦200,000/month
