A brilliant young man named Tobi Animashaun has emerged as the best graduating student at Bells University of Technology in Abeokuta, Nigeria.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning, achieving an impressive CGPA of 4.63, which qualifies as a first-class degree. Tobi took to LinkedIn to share his success, describing it as a dream come true.

He stated that from the very start of his journey at Bells University, he set his sights on graduating with a first-class degree. Reflecting on his time at the university, Tobi described his experience as one filled with hard work, personal growth, resilience, and passion.

Tobi expressed pride in the person he has become and the legacy he is leaving behind. He highlighted several of his achievements, including numerous leadership roles and contributions to both his department and the wider university community.

Among his notable roles, Tobi served as Class Representative for four years (2020-2024) and was Secretary of the Constitution Review Committee for the TIAN (Lagos State Chapter) from 2020 to 2021.

Additionally, he was Vice President of the Urban and Regional Planning Student Association for two years, where he organized an AutoCAD Workshop for students from the Colleges of Environmental Sciences (COLENVS), Engineering (COLENG), and Natural and Applied Sciences (COLNAS).

In 2023, he chaired his department’s Election Committee, served as President of the Bells University Student Association, Vice Chairman of the Private University Student Council in Southwest Nigeria, and Chairman of the Bells University of Technology Association of Presidents (BUTAP).

Tobi also convened the inaugural Southwest Leadership Summit, organized the first inter-collegiate debate, and initiated the Green Initiative, a campus tree-planting project.

Tobi stated that these experiences were incredibly fulfilling, yet none of his achievements would have been possible without God’s guidance and the unwavering support of his family, friends, lecturers, and university staff.

In recognition of his academic excellence and leadership, Tobi received the Chief Olusegun Obasanjo Prize for Best Graduating Male Student with Outstanding Academic Performance and Leadership Qualities, as well as the award for Best Graduating Student in Urban and Regional Planning.

As he closes this chapter, Tobi shares his excitement for the future, feeling equipped with resilience and ready to take on new challenges in the next phase of his journey.
