Applications are now open for the 2025 Canva Africa Design Challenge.

Think WhatsApp product menus, email templates, business cards, brand kits, social video templates, and let’s not forget those creator rate cards and yes, even that link in bio.

Ready to lock in? Use Canva to design those must-have templates for Africa by Africa.

Canva Africa Design Challenge Requirement:

  • The Canva Africa Design Challenge is open to all young people across Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Canva challenge invites you to create a practical template that helps local businesses grow.
  • First-time designers are welcome.
  • You can submit one template per entry, and multiple entries are welcome.

Canva Africa Design Challenge Rewards:

  • Your design could win you a share of US$10,000, 1:1 Mentorship with Canva designers, exclusive Canva Swag and your templates will be published on Canva.

    Each Winner will receive:
  • a three (3) month subscription to Canva Pro;
  • The Canva Pro prizes will be applied to the Winners’ accounts shortly after winning. In the event a Winner has an existing subscription to Canva Pro (whether yearly or monthly) the three (3) month subscription will commence at the expiry of the Winner’s existing subscription period.

To apply for the 2025 Canva Africa Design Challenge For Creative Individuals, interested and qualified candidates should;

  • Design your template: Create a Canva design that supports African entrepreneurs – like WhatsApp price lists, invoices, or social media posts.
  • Submit your entry: Upload your entry via the official entry form.
