Finance Intern at Norwegian Refugee Council Details:

Generic responsibilities

1. Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
2. Ensure proper filing of documents 
3. Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function

Specific responsibilities 

1. Scan, name and electronically file ALL supporting documents at the area level as instructed by your supervisor and according to the minimum standards provided for in the Securing of Supporting Documentation procedures.
2. Review supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy according to the payment and procurement checklist thresholds before electronically securing them.
3. Inform your supervisor immediately you notice missing documentation from the folders.
4. Support finance unit to prepare for audits by retrieving and re-archiving documentation

Finance Intern at Norwegian Refugee Council Requirement:

Generic professional competencies: 

1. An accounting OR Finance /student / graduate
2. Graduating Student with minimum of CGPA 3.5
3. Fluency in English, both written and verbal 

Context/ Specific skills, knowledge, and experience: 

1. Good knowledge of the Nigerian context
2. Office organization skills
3. Demonstrated ability to work quickly and accurately, with acute attention to detail
4. Excellent organizational ability and able to prioritize.
5. Natural ability to build relationships in a professional environment
6. High-level understanding of the importance of confidentiality, tact and diplomacy
7. Ability to demonstrate previous practical experience with all Microsoft Office tools
