The Federal Ministry of Education (FME) has launched applications for the TVET Industry Mapping Initiative 2025 for young Nigerians.
The FME TVET Industry Mapping Initiative 2025 provides a monthly stipend with hands-on vocational and technical education training (TVET) for selected candidates.

FME TVET Industry Mapping Initiative Details:
The Federal Ministry of Education has announced an Industry Mapping Sensitisation programme aimed at equipping Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) students with practical, industry-ready skills through structured workplace experience.
The programme will cover training in 18 current trade courses and introduce 14 emerging courses from 2026. The government will cover training fees, pay monthly stipends to students and provide guidance to industries on effective mentorship.
Sensitisation meetings are scheduled for August in Abuja, Lagos, Kano, Yola, Port Harcourt, and Enugu, with participation open to small, medium, and large-scale industries across the country.

FME TVET Industry Mapping Initiative Requirement:
The National Directorate of Employment Skill Training Programme will give you the opportunity to;

- Working Tools
- Access to grants and loans
- Certification
Eligible Industries:
- Small-Scale Industries – Small production outfits.
- Medium-Scale Industries – Growing companies with moderate staff and output.
- Large-Scale Industries – Big corporations and industrial facilities with advanced technology and mass production.
Benefits of FME TVET Industry Mapping Initiative:
- The program seeks to provide hands-on training opportunities for students under the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) and the Student Field Work Experience Scheme (SFWES).
- The Federal Government will cover all training fees for industries over the three-year period students spend in technical colleges.
- Students apply classroom knowledge directly to real industry challenges.
- They learn teamwork, punctuality, time management, responsibility, and professional behaviour.
- They explore different trades, confirm career interests, and develop job-ready skills.
- They connect with professionals and build future job opportunities.
- The initiative helps reduce unemployment by producing graduates with practical, in-demand skills.
