How to Pass CDCFIB CBT Exam
To be selected for the next recruitment stage, candidates must pass the CBT examination, as only 30,000 candidates will be shortlisted across the four paramilitary agencies. Success requires not only academic preparation but also discipline, technical readiness, and strict compliance with exam procedures.
Prepare with Past Questions
One of the most effective ways to perform well in the CDCFIB CBT is to study past questions and answers. The test usually includes sections on general knowledge, current affairs, English language, and numerical reasoning. Practicing with previous questions helps you understand the structure, difficulty level, and timing of the exam. It also builds confidence, ensuring you’re not caught off guard by question patterns or phrasing.

Ensure Stable Internet and Power Supply
Since the exam is conducted online under real-time monitoring, an unstable internet connection can disrupt your test or cause automatic disqualification. Before your exam day, test your device, confirm your connection speed, and ensure sufficient data. Keep a backup network option or power source ready to avoid interruptions. Candidates are advised to use laptops or desktops for better visibility and stability during the CBT.
Minimize Distractions During the Exam
The CBT is AI-proctored, meaning your camera and microphone will be monitoring you throughout. Choose a quiet, well-lit location free from background movement or noise. Inform those around you to avoid interruptions during your test period. Any external communication, sound, or movement outside the camera’s frame can be interpreted as malpractice and lead to instant disqualification.
Observe All Exam Rules Strictly
Compliance is key to passing this stage. Do not attempt to switch tabs, take screenshots, or open study materials during the test. Keep your eyes on the screen and avoid unnecessary gestures or movements. Even minor rule violations can trigger alerts that affect your credibility. Remember, discipline and adherence to procedure are as important as getting answers right.
Stay Calm and Manage Your Time
Time management determines how many questions you complete within the hour. Read each question carefully before answering, but don’t spend too long on any single one. If unsure of an answer, mark it and return later if time permits. Staying calm ensures clarity and better judgment, while panic leads to mistakes and poor performance.
CDCFIB Instructions to Candidates
- Verify Exam Details: Ensure your exam date, time, and login credentials match your registration record. Any mismatch or error may prevent you from gaining access to the examination portal.
- Device Requirements: Use a laptop, desktop, or smartphone with a working camera and microphone. A stable internet connection is compulsory to avoid disconnection or monitoring issues during the test.
- Identity Verification: A live selfie verification will be required before access is granted. The image must match the one you provided during registration.
- Proctoring: The test will be monitored in real-time using AI-assisted video proctoring. Any suspicious activity, movement, or attempt to switch screens will be flagged and could lead to instant disqualification.
- Technical Support: If you encounter technical problems, report them immediately through the official support portal provided on the CDCFIB website.
- Exam Conduct: Remain on the exam interface throughout the entire duration. Navigating away, minimizing the browser, or communicating with others will trigger a violation alert.
