The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released a detailed statistical breakdown of the results for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

This breakdown provides a comprehensive overview of the performance of Nigerian candidates throughout the examination, which was conducted nationwide.

According to JAMB, of the 1,955,069 candidates who participated in the 2025 UTME, more than 1.5 million scored below 200 in the exam.

This breakdown provides a comprehensive view of the performance of Nigerian candidates across the country during the examination. According to JAMB, out of the 1,955,069 candidates who participated in the 2025 UTME, over 1.5 million scored below 200.

Additionally, the board announced that 4,756 candidates scored above 320, while 7,658 candidates scored between 300 and 319. In their statement accompanying the data, JAMB noted that 40,247 underage candidates were permitted to showcase their exceptional abilities.

However, only 467 of these candidates (1.16%) achieved scores that met the threshold for exceptional ability as defined for the UTME. Their performance in the subsequent three stages is still pending.
