LASU Post UTME Requirements
To qualify for admission into Lagos State University (LASU), candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Choose LASU as your First Choice in UTME
- Score 195 or above in UTME
- Possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credits (including English and Mathematics) in not more than two sittings
- Apply for LASU Post-UTME screening exercise
LASU Post UTME Exam Format
The Lagos State University (LASU) Post UTME Exam Format is designed to evaluate candidates’ knowledge and readiness for undergraduate studies. The exam is conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT), where candidates answer 40 questions in 60 minutes. These questions are worth one mark each, totaling 40 marks.

How LASU Calculates Aggregate Score
Your total admission score is calculated using:
- O’Level Composite Percentage (e.g., A1 = 8 points, B2 = 7 points, etc)
- UTME Composite Percentage (Your JAMB score ÷ 8)
- Post UTME Composite Percentage (Your Post UTME score × 0.3)
Note: You must score at least 195 in the Post UTME to qualify for the composite score calculation.
LASU Department and Its Cutoff Marks
The minimum cut-off mark for LASU for the 2025/2026 academic year is 195. Candidates who score 195 or above can participate in the Post-UTME assessment. However, some courses may require higher JAMB scores for candidates to be eligible for admission. Below are the estimated cut-off marks for each LASU department.
It’s important to note that the aggregate cut-off mark is calculated using a combination of the O’Level results, JAMB score, and Post-UTME score.

- Dentistry: 240 – 260
- Nursing: 230 – 250
- Law: 250 – 270
- Computer Science: 220 – 240
