NDDC Local Masters Scholarship Details:
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) offers Masters Scholarships in a continued effort to enhance Human Resource Development in the Niger Delta region for Nigerian students from the Niger Delta to study abroad.
The commission is created to offer a lasting solution to the socio-economic difficulties of the Niger Delta Region and to facilitate the rapid and sustainable development of the Niger Delta into a region that is economically prosperous, socially stable, ecologically regenerative and politically peaceful.
The NDDC Local Masters Scholarship aims to foster global competitiveness by supporting academic excellence and professional development in key disciplines.
Available Programs for NDDC Scholarship
The NDDC Scholarship Scheme is for suitably qualified applicants with relevant Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree(s) from recognized universities in the following professional disciplines:
- Engineering
- Agricultural Science
- Law
- Medical Sciences
- Geosciences
- Environmental Sciences
- Management sciences
- ICT
- Education
- Humanities

NDDC Local Masters Scholarship Requirements:
To be considered for the NDDC Local Masters Postgraduate Scholarship, you must:
- Be indigenes of the Niger Delta Region.
What are the Niger Delta NDDC States?
The NDDC States includes Ondo, Imo, Delta, Rivers, Edo, Akwa Ibom, Abia, Cross River, and Bayelsa states
- Be not older than forty (40) years of age.
- Possess a First Class, Second Class Upper, or Lower Bachelor’s Degree.
- Alternatively, possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Upper Credit and a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD).
NDDC Local Masters Scholarship Rewards:
- The NDDC scholarship program covers full tuition fees and provides allowances for living expenses, accommodation, and travel for selected candidates.
- The scholarship aims to support Niger Delta youth in acquiring advanced skills and knowledge relevant to regional and national development.

How to Apply for NDDC Local Masters Scholarship:
To apply for the 2025/26 NDDC Local Masters Scholarship for Postgraduate Students, interested and qualified candidates should;
- Application must be made on-line at the Commission’s website: (www.nddc.gov.ng) with the following attachments
- Successfully complete application form will be assigned a registration number automatically.
- Print the hard copy of the on-line generated acknowledgement for ease of reference.
- All shortlisted applicants will be posted on NDDC website (www.nddc.gov.ng)
