Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Guidance:

The Nigeria Customs Service is set to recruit 3,927 staff into Superintendent Cadre, Inspectorate Cadre, and Assistant Cadre, offering opportunities for candidates with various educational qualifications, including SSCE, NCE, ND, HND, BSc, and professional certificates.

Out of the 286,697 shortlisted candidates, 3,927 candidates will be selected for recruitment. Individuals are advised to prepare for the aptitude test and aim to pass.

Below are the guidelines for the NCS aptitude test, scheduled to take place from September 14 to 21, 2025.

  • Device Requirements: Candidates must use a laptop or desktop computer equipped with a webcam and capable of full-screen display. The service has warned that the application is not compatible with mobile phones.
  • Facial Verification: A facial recognition process will be mandatory at login. Candidates have been advised to “maintain a neat appearance” to ensure the system can verify them without issue.
  • Test Protocol: The CBT software is described as highly sensitive to environmental factors. Excessive movement, whispering, background noise, or attempting to switch browser windows will be flagged as malpractice. Such actions can trigger an automatic logout from the system and may lead to immediate disqualification

To help applicants get comfortable with the system, a mandatory pre-test will be held two days before the actual exam. All shortlisted candidates will receive two separate links by email, one for the practice session and another for the final test.
