The Nigerian Navy has confirmed the official date for the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS) Batch 38 Computer-Based Test (CBT) as Saturday, 29 November 2025. A total of 59,561 candidates have been shortlisted for the nationwide recruitment examination.
Applicants must be well-prepared to succeed at each stage, as failure to do so will result in their not being selected for the training program.

About Nigerian Navy Recruitment:
The Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS) Batch 38 recruitment is a nationwide enlistment exercise open to qualified Nigerians interested in joining the naval service. The online application ran from October 2 to October 31, 2025, and was free of charge through the official Navy portal. Applicants were required to complete all mandatory forms, provide accurate personal details, and ensure compliance with all recruitment guidelines.
A total of 59,561 candidates were shortlisted to sit for the Computer-Based Test scheduled for 29 November 2025 at designated centres across the country. Shortlisted candidates who pass the CBT will proceed to the next phase of the recruitment process, which includes documentation, fitness assessments, and security screening. T
hose who successfully complete all stages will begin their basic military training at the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School, where they will undergo rigorous physical and academic drills. After completing training, recruits will be formally enlisted into the Nigerian Navy as Ordinary Seamen, marking the start of their naval careers.
