NWDC Scholarship Details:
The North-West Development Commission (NWDC), established by the NWDC Act, 2024 signed into law by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is committed to driving development, growth, and infrastructure enhancement in the North-West region.
To further this mission, the Commission is pleased to announce the opening of applications for 2025/2026 Undergraduate and Postgraduate Foreign NWDC Scholarship.
The NWDC Scholarship 2025 seeks to foster academic excellence and empower exceptional individuals from the North-West region to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies at reputable foreign universitie
NWDC Scholarship) Requirement:
To be eligible for the undergraduate and postgraduate NWDC Scholarship 2025, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- Indigene: Be an indigene of the North-West States (Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, & Zamfara)
- Undergraduate: Distinction in 3 O’Level core science subjects and 5 credits in other subjects (in not more than 2 sittings).
- Master’s: CGPA of 3.8 and above.
- PhD: Minimum of 4.0/5.0 CGPA in Master’s Degree.
- Age Limit: 22 years and below for Undergraduate, 35 years and below for Master’s and 40 years and below for PhD at the time of application.
For the 2025/26 academic session, the NWDC 2025 Undergraduate & Postgraduate Foreign Scholarship will accept applications to the following programmes;
- Engineering
- Medical Sciences
- Agriculture
- ICT and Education

Selected candidates will be enrolled in reputable universities located in Europe, China, and other Asian countries.
