Job Details:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate must be a serving NYSC Corps Member with at least 10 months left in their service year, reside in Lagos, and possess a background in Accounting. This role provides an opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in financial operations, bookkeeping, and accounting processes while contributing to the success of our finance department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, reports, and ledgers.
  • Support the accounts team in processing invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Conduct reconciliations of bank statements, vendor accounts, and other financial data.
  • Help with filing, documentation, and proper organization of financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax-related documents and compliance schedules.
  • Provide support in budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring.
  • Participate in internal audits and contribute to process improvements.
  • Carry out any other finance or administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirement:

  • Must be a serving NYSC Corps Member with at least 10 months left in service.
  • Must reside in Lagos.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
