Senior Sales Development Representative

Job Details:

  • The Senior Sales Development Representative (Africa) will be responsible for identifying and creating new qualified opportunities within strategic prospect accounts of Andela’s African territory.
  • The ideal candidate will have some knowledge or experience developing business in target prospect accounts via multiple initiatives.
  • A strong ability to cultivate value-driven conversations across complex cross-functional teams is required.

Daily Responsibilities 

  • Partnering with Sales to identify new opportunities for growth within targeted accounts 
  • Identifying ideal potential prospects based on function and influence 
  • Producing, delivering, and iterating prospecting strategies with email, social media, cold calling, and qualification conversations 
  • Creating, scheduling, and managing attendance of qualified meetings for Account Executives
  • Assisting and supporting Andela’s marketing campaigns, including occasional travel to in-person events 
  • Responsible for appropriate follow-up, qualification and responsiveness to inbound inquiries within the strategic account base 
  • Achieving and exceeding weekly/monthly/and quarterly targets (new opportunities generated, discovery calls, attributions to revenue closed won) 
  • Actively participating and contributing to the EMEA Sales Team and the global SDR team related to standups and meetings 

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in excelling in the SDR/BDR role, consistent track record of producing qualified opportunities for Account Executives you support on a regular basis 
  • 2+ years of work experience – can include internships during school 
  • Experience interacting with Enterprise and/or Mid Market level clients 
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, while handling multiple stakeholders and sales activities 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Coordinate and execute prospecting strategies and activities with assigned senior partners 
  • Experience working and mastering a premium sales stack: Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and more… 
  • You have a strong desire to WIN and get to the “Yes” in every account you own

Job Details:

  • Community Strategy & Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with community members and serve as the primary interface for communication with our internal teams, nurturing relationships and holding space for productive dialogue.
  • Engagement & Content Strategy: Create and curate content (e.g., newsletters, blog posts, discussion prompts, and FAQs) to inform and engage our communities. Maintain our community playbook, outlining tone of voice, engagement policies, moderation guidelines, and escalation processes.

  • Proven experience in developing and executing content strategies, engagement campaigns, and community playbooks.

Oracle Database Administrator

Job Details:

  • We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Cloud Operations team on a contract basis.
  • This role is critical to bringing our database support in-house for one of our major enterprise product lines.
  • You will be the primary subject matter expert for a mission-critical, high-availability Oracle database environment hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • The ideal candidate is an independent, self-starting professional with a strong foundation in core Oracle DBA fundamentals.
  • While your main focus will be Oracle, our broader landscape is predominantly SQL Server, so experience in that area is a significant plus and offers greater opportunity for long-term contribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploying, configuring, and maintaining Oracle databases on AWS (EC2 and/or RDS).
  • Using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for proactive monitoring, alerting, and performance diagnostics.
  • Managing all aspects of database support, including triaging issues, performance tuning, and optimizing SQL/PLSQL.
  • Implementing and managing robust backup and recovery strategies using RMAN.
  • Supporting disaster recovery and high-availability solutions like Oracle Data Guard.
  • Managing database security, user access, and auditing policies to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborating with DevOps and application teams to improve cloud architecture and processes.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation to support 24/7 production environments.

Job Requirement:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in a production environment, with a focus on enterprise, high-availability editions.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing Oracle databases in the AWS Cloud, with a solid understanding of EC2, RDS, VPCs, security groups, and S3.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, as it makes up the vast majority of our database environment.
  • Proficiency in scripting for automation using Bash, SQL*Plus, or PL/SQL.
  • Deep expertise in database fundamentals: performance tuning, backup/recovery (RMAN), and diagnostics.
  • Proven ability to work independently as a self-starter.
  • Proficiency with monitoring and diagnostic tools, especially Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).

Nice to Have

  • Experience managing PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server on AWS (RDS or EC2).
  • Experience with database migrations (e.g., Oracle to PostgreSQL) using AWS DMS or Ora2Pg.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

  • Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and grow a team of Learning Managers responsible for delivering enterprise reskilling cohorts.

Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in learning & development, technical training, or program delivery roles, with at least 3 years managing teams.
  • Strong executive presence and exceptional executive stakeholder abilities.
  • Proven record of designing and delivering enterprise learning programs in technical domains (AI, Cloud, Software Engineering, Data).
  • Strong understanding of developer platforms and assessments; experience with large-scale platforms (e.g., Codewars, HackerRank, CodeSignal, Coursera, Pluralsight) a strong plus.
  • Strong people leadership skills: track record of building, coaching, and retaining high-performing delivery teams.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional leadership, especially with Product, Operations, and Sales teams.
