University of Lagos State (UNILAG)
The University of Lagos is one of the most prestigious federal universities in Nigeria located in Lagos. It was founded in 1962 and ranked among the top universities in the world.
UNILAG has three campuses in Yaba and Surulere, the main campus is located in Akoka, Yaba, while the other two campuses are located at the former School of Radiography and the College of Medicine, both in Surulere.

UNILAG is a highly competitive university and admission is based on merit. The cut-off mark varies depending on the program of study. For example, the cut-off mark for the Faculty of Arts is 180, while the cut-off mark for the Faculty of Engineering is 200.

National Open University of Nigeria, Lagos
The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is a Nigerian federal university that was established in 1983, it aims to provide accessible and flexible education to a wide range of students anywhere in Nigeria and the World.
NOUN is the first distance-learning university in Nigeria. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including law, medicine, engineering, and business administration.
The university’s headquarter is located in Abuja and has 63 study centres spread across the federation, and its student population is over 120,000, making it the largest university in Nigeria by the population of students.
School Fees:
The current school fees of the National Open University of Nigeria are ₦36,000 for new and ₦18,000 for old students. It’s recommended to check the school website for updated fees
Jamb Cut Off:
Unlike many other federal varsities in Nigeria, you don’t need to sit for JAMB exam before you can be admitted into Noun, also the school doesn’t go for ASUU strike.
However, it is important to know that NOUN graduates are not yet eligible to go for the National Youth Service (NYSC), although the management is working hard to get this approved.

Lagos State University (LASU)
Lagos State University (LASU) is a public university located in Ojo, Lagos State, Nigeria. It was established in 1983 by the Lagos State Government. The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in a variety of fields, including arts, sciences, engineering, medicine, and law.
LASU main campus is situated in Ojo, a suburb of Lagos, while it also has additional campuses in Epe and Ikeja. Ojo remains the primary location for most of the university’s academic and administrative activities.

JAMB Cut-Off:
The JAMB cut-off mark for Lagos State University is 190. However, the university may set a higher cut-off mark for some programs. The Lagos State University may accept candidates who choose them as their second choice, while in most cases, they prioritize candidates who select them as their first choice.

Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH)
The Lagos State University of Science and Technology ( formerly known as Lagos State Polytechnic) was established with the promulgation of Lagos State on June 1, 1977. In 2019.
Lagos State Government transformed the Lagos State Polytechnic into the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) with five Departments namely, Accountancy, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Marketing and Insurance.
LASUSTECH is located in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria. The university has two campuses: the main campus in Ikorodu and the Isolo campus.
Jamb Cut-Off:
The university does not accept candidates without JAMB for its regular full-time programs. The JAMB cut-off mark for LASUTECH is 180, however, the university may set a higher cut-off mark for some programs.
School Fees:
The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) school fees for the 2023/2024 academic session is between N115,750 to N125,300 naira depending on the course you are offering.

Lagos State University of Education (LASUED)
Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) was established in 2022 by the Lagos State Government. The university was created by merging the Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCOED) and Michael Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED).
LASUED is located in Oto/Ijanikin with a campus at Noforija, Epe, Lagos State. The school offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and currently has 5 departments namely Humanities, science, IT, Vocational and entrepreneur, management and social sciences, language and communication.
School Fees:
Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) school fees for the 2023/2024 academic is 91,000 for the first semester and ₦40,000 for the second semester.
Jamb Cut-Off:
LASUED Jamb cut-off mark is 150. However, the university may set a higher cut-off mark for some programs. In addition, LASUED accepts candidates that choose them as the second choice.

Augustine University
Augustine University also known as AUI was established in 2015 as a private Catholic university whose aim is to provide quality education based on the principles of the Catholic faith.

Caleb University, Lagos
Caleb University is a private Christian university located in Imota, Lagos State, Nigeria. It was established in 2007 by the Apostolic Faith Church.

Pan-Atlantic University (PAU), formerly known as Pan-African University is a private, non-profit educational institution in Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria.

Anchor University, Lagos

The higher your JAMB score, the higher your chances of clinching the course registered in your UTME.

Eko University of Medical and Health Sciences Ijanikin, Lagos
