Applications for the 2026 Ekiti State Scholarship and Bursary Awards are now open.

Further to the commitment of the Ekiti State Government in encouraging academic excellence and alleviating the financial burdens of its brilliant students, the Ekiti State Scholarship Board (ESSB) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Scholarship and Bursary Awards.

The administration of Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji will award scholarships to qualified students who are already pursuing various courses in their second year and above in Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, and other tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

Ekiti State Scholarship and Bursary Requirement:

To be considered for the Ekiti State Scholarship and Bursary Awards, you must satisfy the following criteria:

  • Scholarship Awards:
    • Undergraduate students must be in their 2nd year or above, possess WASSCE/NECO with a minimum of five credits, including English Language and Mathematics in one sitting, and have a minimum CGPA of 4.0 (universities), 3.50 (polytechnics), or 3.50 (NCE) in their current institutions of study.
    • Master’s Degree applicants must have a minimum of 2nd Class (Upper Division) at the undergraduate level.
    • Ph.D. Scholarship Award applicants must have a grade of distinction in their Master’s Degree and a minimum of 2nd Class (Upper Division) at the undergraduate level. A letter of recommendation from the university is also required.
    • Physically challenged students in tertiary institutions (NCE, ND, College of Health Tech, School of Nursing/Midwifery, HND, and postgraduates) are eligible for the Scholarship Award.
    • Students on part-time and sandwich courses are not eligible for the Scholarship Awards.
  • Bursary Awards: All students, including physically challenged postgraduate students, can apply for Bursary Awards.

Eligible Institutions for Ekiti State Scholarship and Bursary

Students of Polytechnics, College of Education, Schools of Nursing/Midwifery, Colleges of Health Technology are eligible.

Document Requirements for Ekiti State Scholarship and Bursary:

To forestall fraud and/or impersonation, an applicant shall submit along with the application form, certified copies of the underlisted:

  1. The current school fees payment receipts
  2. Institution’s identification cards
  3. Letter of identification from Head of Department
  4. Certified transcript by the Registrar of the Institution.
  5. Certified copies of credentials
  6. Certificate of Local Government origin.
  7. 3 Years Tax Payment Certificate and Development Levy receipts of applicant’s parent.

Job Details:

Water Treatment

  • Draw and update the flowchart for water flow for each outlet.
  • Ensure all outlet carry out the tank washing and change of filters are done as at when due.
  • Ensure the UV lights and modules are checked regularly.
  • Ensure the back flushing activity is done in accordance with prescribed standard

Safety and Safety Compliance

  • Enforce safety policies amongst artisans and contractors to reduce or eliminate the risk of accidents.
  • Conduct safety investigation to determine root causes, what procedures may have gone wrong, and to gather the evidence necessary to identify the cause of the accident.

Job Requirement:

  • Minimum of B.Sc./HND certification in Building, Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a facility management role
  • Practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical (heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems; plumbing system)
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office
  • Working knowledge of water treatment system will be an advantage

Store Inventory Officer:

Job Details:

The Store  Inventory Office will be responsible for all operations related to Store and inventory management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and issue technical store items (including turbine spares, electrical, instrumentation, mechanical spares, tools, and consumables) in line with approved procedures and documentation.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory catalogue, including material descriptions, specifications, part numbers, and storage locations.

  • Assist in preparing inventory reports and providing routine updates to management.
  • Maintain proper filing and security of documents related to requisitions, receipts, issues, and returns.
  • Liaise with maintenance, procurement teams, and other internal stakeholders to support effective store operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures required in the warehouse.
  • Reports near misses, unsafe conditions, and unsafe behaviour within and outside the work area
  • Participate in periodic hazards identification and detailed risk assessment in the work area as applicable.

Job Requirement:

  • Minimum of B.Sc/HND in Engineering, Numerical Sciences, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5years of experience in a technical store, warehouse, or inventory role, preferably within a power plant, oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Basic knowledge of power plant equipment and spare parts (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation).
  • Certification in Store Management, Inventory Control, or Materials Management will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems (ERP, IBM Maximo, or similar tools) is desirable.

Skills and Competencies
