2024 JAMB change of course and correction of data is ongoing. Do you wish to change your course or correct your biodata?

If yes, read our guidelines on how to make correction of data on your jamb cap. This option is available for both UTME and Direct Entry candidates.

The following are the categories for which candidates can make corrections:

  1. Names Correction: This service allows candidates to correct spelling errors or arrangement mistakes in their names, such as Surname, Firstname, or Lastname. Remember, this correction can only be done once.
  2. Date of Birth Correction: If there’s an error in your date of birth, you can correct it. However, this correction is a one-time opportunity.
  3. Passport Photograph Correction: Any error in the passport photograph submitted can be corrected only once.
  4. Gender Correction: For gender-related errors, corrections can be made. Supporting documents may be required for this change, and it can only be made once.
  5. State/LGA Correction: To correct your State/LGA of Origin, you might need to provide supporting documents. This correction can also be made only once.
  6. Profile Correction: Any required correction in your profile can be made once.
  7. Choice of Institution/Course Correction: This service allows candidates to change their choice of course or institution. Unlike other categories, this correction can be done multiple times with separate payments.

How to Carry Out JAMB Change of Course / Institution / Data

Follow these steps to make any of the corrections mentioned above:

  1. Visit the JAMB portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.
  2. Login with your Email and Password.
  3. Click on ‘Registration (2024 only)’ from the list of services on the left side.
  4. From the drop-down, select ‘2024 UTME Data Correction’ / ‘2024 DE Data Correction’ as your case may be.
  5. Proceed with the payment.

After payment, visit the closest JAMB office or a JAMB accredited centre to complete the correction process.

How To Carry Out JAMB Change of Course / Institution / Data On My Phone

The steps for the JAMB change of institution can be done easily with your phone. Follow the steps below:

1. Log into your JAMB Profile at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/, enter your email and password, and then click login.
2. Choose “Correction of Data” from the sidebar or Home page. Select “Course/Institution” and your exam year.
3. Enter your JAMB registration number and click “Search Details.”
4. Pick a payment option, like Remita, and input your card details. After payment, preview your info. If it’s okay, confirm and click “Pay Now.”
5. Complete payment on Remita. Once done, you’ll see your payment details and get an email or SMS with a transaction ID.
6. Click “Continue” and provide your Year of Exam and JAMB Registration Number.
